Position

Summary

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a critical role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring the smooth operation of daily front-desk activities. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a busy primary care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner, both in person and over the phone.
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Check in and check out patients, ensuring accuracy in demographic and insurance information.
  • Collect co-pays, balances, and other payments as needed.
  • Answer incoming calls, route messages, and respond to inquiries regarding services or appointment availability.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  • Verify patient information for accuracy and update records as necessary.
  • Handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA and office protocols.
  • Support other front office and clinical staff as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, EMR systems, and standard office equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
