Job Summary

The Manufacturing Technician 1 is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment used in the production of herbal supplements and will set up, adjust, and operate machinery in support of the fill and finish process. This role involves packaging products according to established quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, including filling, capping, sealing, and labeling bottles.
  • Set up, test, adjust, and troubleshoot machinery to ensure optimal performance and quality.
  • Follow cGMP, SOPs, and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Document production activities electronically and on hard copy, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of equipment as required.
  • Assist Quality with investigations and inspections as needed.
  • Plan and execute tasks to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain inventory.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety rules, maintaining strong safety awareness, and participating in required safety training and meetings.
  • Promote a work environment that meets cGMP regulations by following all established procedures and completing all required training on cGMPs.
  • Clean the workspace and equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed and after each production run.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Communicate all items of concern, process improvement recommendations, and the need for additional resources to management.
Required

Education and Experience
  • Education: High school education or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 12 months of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualification

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with database management systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagrammatic, and schedule‑based instructions.
  • Clear and organized verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to remain composed and responsive.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude, including calculations involving discounts, percentages, proportions, and basic algebra.
  • Ability to read and interpret company procedures, safety guidelines, and technical manuals.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and practical reasoning to real‑world scenarios.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple variables and shifting priorities in a structured environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Production facility. Noisy, occasional outdoor weather exposure, slippery surfaces.
  • Travel Requirements: None.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs. several times per day. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre‑employment physical examination.
