Mountain View Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team in Central Point, Oregon. Experienced CVT preferred but willing to train the right person!
- Starting Salary: $21 – 25 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications and licensure

Whoyou are:
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) in Oregon required – or ability to obtain/transfer license within 3 months of hire
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred
- 3 years’ experience as a veterinary technician or assistant in a veterinary clinical setting preferred
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
- Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
- Perform basic exam procedures
- Skilled in venipuncture and Intravenous (IV) catheter placement (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
- Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning
- Perform complete dental procedures, including digital x-rays, scaling, polishing, charting
- Confident with general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique, recovery)
- Perform medical math, accurately calculate, draw up and administer drugs
- Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); automated in-house machines
- Excellent client communication/education
- Ability to perform Technician appointments independently, including accurate medical record documentation
