Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center (SOVSC) is the Rogue Valley’s premier 24/7 specialty and emergency veterinary hospital, serving pets and families across Southern Oregon and Northern California. Since opening in 2004, SOVSC has grown from filling a critical gap in emergency care to becoming a comprehensive regional referral center, now serving a broad geographic area with advanced specialty medicine and round-the-clock emergency care.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Cardiologist to join a hospital where complex cases, advanced diagnostics, and multidisciplinary collaboration are part of everyday medicine. You’ll work alongside Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Urgent Care teams, with the opportunity to collaborate across the broader Ethos Veterinary Health network.
SOVSC is equipped to support advanced cardiac diagnostics, including echocardiography, Holter monitoring, in-hospital telemetry, digital radiography, advanced CT imaging, and comprehensive in-house laboratory capabilities.
At SOVSC, specialists work closely with primary care veterinarians and the hospital’s emergency and specialty teams to create a seamless continuum of care—from emergency stabilization and advanced diagnostics through specialty consultation and long-term management.
Location HighlightLocated in Central Point at the heart of Oregon’s Rogue Valley, SOVSC offers an exceptional combination of professional opportunity and outdoor lifestyle. Southern Oregon is a destination for hiking, mountain biking, rafting, camping, fishing, skiing, and snowboarding, while the region also offers wineries, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and Britt Music Festival. The Oregon Coast and Northern California redwoods are also within an easy weekend drive.
