Job Description
The main responsibility of Domino's Pizza Delivery Driver is to deliver orders to designated locations on time. Delivery drivers are expected to be punctual, honest, and capable of reading a basic road map. The orders must be delivered correctly and on time in a courteous manner. Drivers must also ensure delivery vehicles are well maintained before and after each shift. Delivery Drivers aid in food preparation, taking customer orders, cleaning duties, and rotating food shipments that may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
They should be knowledgeable about product details, services, charges, and related important information for customers.
While performing duties, drivers may work outdoors in various temperatures, noisy environments, near moving mechanical parts, with dangerous equipment or sharp tools, and around fumes, odors, dust or toxic chemicals. The job can be physically demanding: using hands repetitively, standing for prolonged periods, bending, twisting, reaching above shoulder level, crouching, or kneeling.
Specific Duties- Pre-Delivery vehicle preparations
- Learning the delivery area
- Checking orders for quality and accuracy
- Providing quality customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers in person or by phone
- Food preparation and packaging
- Taking orders and collecting payments
- Cleaning and maintenance of the store and its equipment
- Rotating commissary deliveries
- Have attention to detail
- Have a sense of urgency in all aspects of the job
- Be customer focused with strong initiative
- Have cash management skills
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid driver's license under state law and be licensed for two or more years
- Maintain an acceptable motor vehicle report/driving abstract, with no more than two moving violations and one accident in the last year; DUI or speeding ticket over 25 mph disqualifies
- Be insured and have a satisfactory vehicle
- Be able to work long hours, scheduled or unscheduled, including nights, weekends, and emergencies
- Be willing to learn and be comfortable cross‑training for other duties within the restaurant as needed and work with reasonable accommodation if required
Pay is $15.05–$16.55 per hour with additional tips and mileage compensation. Drivers receive a minimum wage plus a reimbursement for gas consumption based on a third‑party surveyor's recommended rate ($1.60 per run), reimbursement for data usage, and any credit card/cash tips paid by customers.
