Recycle Center Yard Helper

• High School education/GED or equivalent preferred
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
• Ability to follow directions and work as a team or independently

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Normal setting for this job is outdoor Industrial process plant with heavy production equipment, rolling stock and inventory.
• Required to use motor coordination and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May also work in a variety of environment conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations including heat, cold, snow, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, odors and dust

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Recycle Center Yard Helper is responsible for processing metal to prepare for shipment, inspecting loads, sorting materials and operating equipment with in a Waste Pro recycling facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Process and prepare materials for recycling, inspecting loads, removing debris from material to be recycled
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment both inside and outside the facility
• Ensure that commodities are loaded, transported and stored in an efficient and timely manner
• Work with the team onsite to complete daily maintenance of concrete crushing equipment including cleaning, greasing and fueling
• Observe and report any potential malfunctions
• Operate the weight station scale

• Greets and assists the public in a friendly manner providing quality customer service

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
• Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.
• Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
