Ampersand Therapy empowers you to serve your students. We are a small company, local to Western WA and are proud to be women-, minority-, and therapist-owned and run. We began our career working in the districts and also as contractors, seeking to create an alternative to working with big staffing companies. We are a small team of like-minded specialists who strive to create a company we would want to work for.
Because we are therapists ourselves, we understand the work you do and are positioned to support and mentor those who are new to this practice area. We often work in the schools alongside you.
- Focus on equity - We listen and learn to create a climate of equity. Diversity includes race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, abilities, socioeconomic status, and religion, among many identities. We aim to create a culture of equity and opportunity for all. We provide resources for addressing racism and discrimination in school and support charities including The Conscious Kid.
- Focus on community - We support local and national organizations serving the community and volunteer with organizations such as Special Olympics, Project Canine and the Moth. We empower you to support causes meaningful to you.
- Focus on the earth - We advocate sustainable work practices, reduce paper use, go digital, seek lower-waste treatment options, and strive for a negative carbon footprint.
