Job Description
Zev Technologies is seeking a highly detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our team. Our company is a high quality, high precision, production machine shop manufacturing firearms and firearm components in aluminum and hard metals utilizing industry leading manufacturing technology. Every machinist is responsible for manufacturing high quality parts and following our quality procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Load and unload parts correctly and consistently in a timely manner, ensuring clean parts and proper fixture use.
- Perform visual, dimensional and functional checks using precision measuring equipment daily.
- Conduct tool inspections, identify worn tools, and document tool changes.
- Carry out machine maintenance in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
- Adjust tool offsets and program adjustments to keep parts in tolerance.
- Build tools based on the tool list, demonstrating knowledge of tool holders, LOC and various tool types.
- Navigate Fanuc and Okuma controls, and train new operators as needed.
- Perform TTO/prove out new code, understanding what to look for.
- Apply basic G and M code understanding.
- Operate a minimum of two machines simultaneously within a cell to optimize run times.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machinist in a job shop environment.
- Proficient with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth mic's, height gauges, and bore gauges).
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Ability to read and understand prints and schematics.
- Experience with Fanuc Robotics is a plus.
- Experience with multiple operating systems and controls (Fanuc, Okuma, Haas, Mazatrol, etc.).
- High School diploma or GED and literate in reading and writing.
- Self‑motivated with minimal supervision and high productivity.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must stand for long periods.
- Require good vision, hand/eye coordination and dexterity with small parts and hand tools.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work safely in varied environments, including exposure to fumes, dust and noise, with provided safety equipment.

Salary: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
