Assemble industrial packages from bare parts, in “job shop” and production environment. This includes mechanical connections, supports, structures, and control panels. Ability to perform tasks related to production and warehousing.
- Assemble mechanical components, such as, air ends, blowers and other compressed air system components, working on a shop floor.
- Inspects components for proper assembly, specifications, fit and finish.
- Assembles and positions components according to knowledge of unit being assembled and through interpretation of engineering drawings or electrical schematics.
- Positions components with a forklift, overhead crane or manually fastens parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners, using hand and portable powered tools.
- Bend and install tubing and fittings for oil lubrication/cooling systems.
- Install plumbing.
- Align couplings and sub-assemblies to gearbox or other components.
- Maintaining staged parts and liaison between production and parts.
- Work in conjunction with Production Foreman to ensure all duties are complete to end of units.
- Perform all workstation and shop clean-up duties as assigned.

- Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required. - Previous experience may include mechanical assembly and disassembly.
- Prior forklift experience preferred but not required.
- Requires the ability to use and function with handheld mechanical measurement devices (micrometer, dial indicator, caliper) as well as electrical measurement devices (Fluke meter).
- Ability to apply electrical and mechanical principles
- Recognize common mechanical and electrical components
- Must work well with others in a safe and self-directed manner
- Reading Comprehension:
Read and interpret the following documents: operating and maintenance manuals, employee manuals, safety guidelines, electrical schematics, blueprints, mechanical sketches, electrical and mechanical reference charts. - Writing:
Record readings and write legible reports.
- Exert force of 25 lbs. frequently and 50-100 lbs. occasionally.
- Constant stooping, balancing, crouching, reaching, fingering, and feeling.
