Hardware Assembly

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and adjust machines and equipment to produce and prepare for shipment a good quality product. Machines may include blade folding, riveting, conveying, boxing, banding, strapping, leading, painting, and other departmental equipment.

Perform processes such as assembling, painting, boxing, palletizing, leading, filing, bundling, banding, nutting, sorting, twisting, and deburring.

Make visual inspections, separate parts, identify, tag, count, record production and scrap, keep required production records, and perform other operations as required.

Maintain machines, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly manner.

• Ability to sit and/or stand and perform repetitive work for a minimum of eight hours.
• Ability to walk, see and have full use of both hands.
• Ability to perform highly repetitive work with high weights and much vibration, 22-25 assemblies per minute using eight different motions.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lb cartons a distance of 3 feet and place on a pallet. Carton is lifted from a height of 6” to 48” at a rate of approximately 40 per hour.
• Ability to push loaded skids using a force of 20 lbs a distance of 6 feet, periodically.
