This position is responsible for producing high-quality precision machined components while maintaining established production, quality, and safety standards. CNC Machinists work within a production machining environment operating modern CNC equipment while performing inspections, monitoring tooling, making machine adjustments, and maintaining consistent part quality.
We are looking for candidates with CNC machining experience or relevant technical training who have a solid mechanical foundation and are interested in continuing to develop their machining skills.
Experience matters, but we recognize that time in a position does not always define capability. Candidates who have developed a strong foundation through hands‑on CNC experience, technical education, apprenticeship, or a combination of training and experience are encouraged to apply.
Primary Responsibilities- Operate CNC machining centers in a production manufacturing environment.
- Load and unload parts while ensuring proper fixturing and part orientation.
- Monitor machine performance throughout each production run.
- Maintain production while ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
- Operate multiple machines when production requirements allow.
- Recognize abnormal machine, tooling, or process conditions and respond appropriately.
- Perform in-process visual and dimensional inspections.
- Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, bore gages, height gages, indicators, and thread gages.
- Verify parts meet engineering and customer requirements before continuing production.
- Recognize dimensional trends and make appropriate adjustments within the established process.
- Identify and communicate quality concerns before additional nonconforming product is produced.
- Maintain accurate inspection and production records as required.
- Monitor tooling condition and identify worn, damaged, or broken tools.
- Document tooling changes and communicate tooling concerns.
- Perform tool and work offset adjustments to maintain dimensional conformity.
- Assist with building and preparing tooling for production.

- Develop a working understanding of tool life and how tooling condition affects part quality.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Follow established manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Maintain clean parts, fixtures, machines, and work areas.
- Perform routine machine maintenance in accordance with company procedures.
- Identify process concerns and communicate issues that could affect quality or production.
- Work with production, quality, programming, and leadership to maintain efficient workflow.
- Take responsibility for the quality of work being produced at the machine.
Candidates should have a foundation in CNC machining gained through hands‑on experience, technical education, apprenticeship, or a combination of training and experience.
- Experience operating CNC machining equipment or completion of relevant CNC machining education or training.
- Basic understanding of CNC machining processes and terminology.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, or demonstrated ability to develop this skill through prior technical training.
- Familiarity with precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
- Basic understanding of dimensional tolerances and part inspection.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand how tooling, machine adjustments, and process conditions affect the finished part.
- Ability to follow established manufacturing processes and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a manufacturing team.
- Willingness and ability to continue developing CNC machining skills.
