Registered Nurse

Job Summary

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Uses standards of medical‑surgical nursing practice to increase the quality of care and quality of life for patients, families, and significant others.
• Establishes effective relationships and serves as an advocate.
• Uses the nursing process to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Develops assessment and management strategies based on physical, functional, cultural, social, economic, developmental, spiritual, vocational, and leisure dimensions of responses.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the impact of illness and each patient’s status.
• Coordinates and collaborates with the interprofessional team to assess needs, set goals, plan interventions, provide care, and evaluate outcomes.
• Communicates with patients, families, and providers in a culturally sensitive, ethical, legal, holistic, informed, compassionate, and humane manner while considering available resources.
• Educates patients and families about measures that promote, maintain, and restore health or comfort.
• Mentors nursing colleagues, students, and others by fostering a healthy work environment.
• Applies evidence‑based practice and scientific knowledge to patient care.
• Performs point‑of‑care testing according to policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• One year of registered nurse experience.

• Constant use of speech, standing, walking, frequent lifting/carrying of 0‑25 lbs, frequent sitting, reaching, keyboard use, vision and depth perception for near and far distances, and use of smell and hearing.
• Occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 25‑50 lbs, moving patients, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements, occasional driving, rare crawling and running.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA).
• For Missouri and Wisconsin, may be issued by state board or Compact State.

Night Shift; 36 scheduled weekly hours.

Hourly Pay Range: $31.21 – $49.94.
