Health Science Instructor

HEALTH SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR - 9 Month (187 Day) Contract

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must currently hold or be willing to obtain a renewable Alabama Career Technical Education (CTE) Teacher Certification in Health Science within the first two (2) years of employment

* Educational and Work Experience Requirements:

Option 1:
Associate's degree in a healthcare field with 5,400 verifiable clock hours (3 years) of in-field work experience within the past 7 years

Option 2:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a healthcare field with 3,600 verifiable clock hours (2 years) of in-field work experience within the past 5 years

* Must hold a valid and active license in one of the following areas:

* Registered Nurse (RN)

* Must pass the CTE Basic Skills Assessment

* Must meet background clearance requirements as established by the Alabama State Board of Education (includes fingerprinting and FBI/ABI background checks)

Salary Range:
According to Cherokee County Schools Salary Schedule. Actual salary will be determined by degree and verified experience.
