Centreville Jr/Sr High School Principal, Grades 7-12
Centreville Public Schools is seeking a junior/senior high school principal to lead and support its secondary programming. Centreville Jr/Sr High School has experienced strong post-pandemic academic growth, increased student enrollment, and expanded programming. School staff includes a mix of certified, dedicated veteran and new educators. An understanding of the district, the students it serves, and the values it demonstrates are essential.
Equally important is the district's desire to fill the position with a candidate who possesses the work ethic necessary to meet the demands of the position, who can develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders, and articulate their experiences regarding the details outlined below.
Experience in the following areas:
- Classroom Teacher:
Valid MI Teaching Certificate - School Administration: MI Administrator Certificate or eligibility to obtain
- Knowledge of Centreville Public Schools
Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience and, where applicable, provide examples of the following:
- Effective communication with staff, students, and families.
- Building strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Decision-making process that is consistent and student-centered.
- Establishing and maintaining high expectations of students, staff, and families.
- Supporting teachers, students, and other administrators.

- Leading and implementing best practices with staff to ensure student success.
- Developing and successfully implementing school goals.
- Creative thinking to address challenges associated with secondary education and today’s students.
- Using data to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
- Supporting and enhancing extracurricular activities.
- Understanding and appreciating the uniqueness, needs, and characteristics of small schools.
