Portfolio Management Lead, Digital Services Business Operations – Mobility Overview
S&P Global Mobility is separating its Mobility Segment into a standalone public company. The Portfolio Management Lead will align digital initiatives, portfolios, and governance across the enterprise and support a dynamic, entrepreneurial services organization.
ResponsibilitiesThe Portfolio Management Lead drives IT strategy, portfolio management, and governance across the enterprise.
- Oversee end-to-end management of the Digital Services portfolio, including intake, prioritization, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Develop and maintain IT roadmaps that align initiatives with the organization’s 5‑year strategic plan.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks for portfolio management, project oversight, and decision‑making.
- Create dashboards for real‑time visibility into portfolio health and progress against strategic objectives.
- Map staffing and assignments to systems and projects, providing clear visibility of resource allocation, costs, and impact.
- Track, monitor, and evaluate the performance of projects and portfolio efforts against KPIs and strategic goals.
- Facilitate prioritization and decision‑making processes to ensure projects are executed based on strategic importance, resource availability, risk, and impact.
- Champion continuous improvement by implementing portfolio management best practices and supporting change‑management initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and professional development to cultivate a high‑performing, collaborative global team.
Key qualifications for this role include:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in portfolio, program, or IT strategy within a global, digital, or technology‑driven organization.
- Proven experience leading large‑scale, cross‑functional digital transformation initiatives and managing multi‑million‑dollar portfolios.
- Demonstrated expertise in IT strategy, governance frameworks, and long‑term planning.
- Strong track record in executive‑level stakeholder engagement and influencing C‑suite leaders.
- Advanced proficiency with portfolio management and collaboration platforms such as Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and executive dashboard tools.
- Deep understanding of resource allocation models, investment tracking, risk management, and performance measurement.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Experience facilitating executive decision‑making, prioritization, and enterprise‑level change management.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PfMP, PMP, PgMP, ITIL, Agile) strongly preferred.
Onsite presence at one of the following locations is required:
Centreville, VA;
Southfield, MI; or Columbia, MO – three or more days a week.
