The Senior Director, Strategy is a pivotal leadership role within the Office of the Corporate Strategy, responsible for shaping and advancing the company's long-term strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development, communication, and ongoing evolution of the company's corporate strategy, ensuring alignment across business units and operations.
* Partner closely with the Chief Strategy Officer to set strategic priorities, prepare executive and Board-level presentations, and drive the annual planning cycle.
* Ownership of the annual strategy process, initiative prioritization, and support for capital allocation decisions.
* Ability to size value pools, understand and interpret key trends (especially in technology), and translate insights into clear strategic choices
* Translate complex market dynamics, customer insights, and competitive intelligence into clear, actionable strategic recommendations.
* Lead strategic initiative tracking, ensuring cross-functional teams are aligned, accountable, and moving with urgency against priority goals. Responsible for corporate performance management (KPIs, dashboards, tracking of strategic initiatives)
* Conduct and oversee market research, industry analysis, and scenario planning to anticipate disruption and identify white space opportunities.
* Champion a culture of strategic thinking throughout the organization by facilitating planning sessions, strategy workshops, and leadership offsites.
* Build embedded and trusted relationships with senior leaders across the enterprise to drive adoption of strategic priorities and surface emerging opportunities.
* Develop and mentor a team of strategy professionals, fostering analytical rigor, creative thinking, and executive-level communication skills.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Strategy, Business, or Marketing strongly preferred.
* 8-10 years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field.
* Proven ability to develop enterprise-level strategies and shepherd them from concept through execution.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear, compelling narratives.
* Outstanding executive presence and communication skills; experienced presenting to C-suite and Board audiences.
* Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
* Highly collaborative with a bias for action and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
What Success Looks Like
* The company operates with a clear, well-understood strategic direction that unites leadership and energizes teams.
* Strategic priorities are visibly connected to marketing and brand activity, creating a cohesive external story.
* Senior leaders view the Strategy function as an indispensable thought partner, not a support function.
* Annual planning is less painful and more impactful, grounded in real market insight and honest prioritization.
* The organization moves faster and smarter because strategy is built to be activated, not archived.
