• Shall exhibit high moral and ethical conduct and display a positive value system.
• Shall be a positive role model for the athletes.
• Shall be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the sport to be coached.
• Ability to display good judgment in dealing with and communicating with parents, team, administration, the public, and the media.
• Shall be able to serve as an effective mentor/leader.

• Valid Michigan Teacher's Certificate.
• Prior experience as a coach.
• Experience with an educational institution.
• Ability to work democratically with others.

The coach shall be directly responsible to the Athletic Director for the administration, supervision, and evaluation of matters pertaining to his/her assigned areas of responsibility. He/she is responsible for the organization, coordination, and interpretation of the sport being coached.
