A specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice in Centurion is seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Medical Receptionist. The role focuses on patient coordination and medical billing, including post delivery follow ups, while supporting front desk operations and ensuring a professional patient experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Manage appointment scheduling and diary coordination
  • Call patients to confirm appointments
  • Contact patients regarding post delivery and follow up appointments
  • Answer calls and ensure accurate message taking
  • Communicate with patients via phone, email, or SMS
  • Capture and update patient information and open new patient accounts
  • Prepare patient files and maintain accurate records
  • Obtain medical aid authorisations for procedures
  • Perform invoicing and billing using Vericlaim
  • Liaise with medical bureau and relevant stakeholders
  • Book theatre lists and coordinate hospital procedures
  • Arrange hospital admissions
  • Assist the doctor with administrative and reception duties.
Qualification and Requirements:
  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar medical receptionist role
  • Strong medical billing experience essential
  • Knowledge of ICD
    10 and RPL coding
  • Experience with Vericlaim medical software advantageous
  • Computer literacy including MS Office
  • Bilingual with strong English communication skills
  • Relevant administrative or healthcare diploma advantageous

Work Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08h00 – 16h00
