Overview
Our client in the financial industry, based in Centurion, Irene, is looking for a Financial Advisor Assistant. The Assistant is an extremely important resource in end-to-end support of the Advisors and a good knowledge of financial planning administration (linked investments, etc.) is critical to the role. You will be required to service and maintain existing client portfolios as well as provide all administrative support for related matters (financial, insurance and investment business).
Keyresponsibilities
- Documentation Processing — Income reviews (managing reminders, preparing documents for Advisor to discuss with client, changes, etc.); coordinate and produce annual reviews including reports; emails, system management and follow ups of any instructions including obtaining proof and checking correctness.
- Personal Effectiveness — Accountable for service delivery and take ownership through own efforts of all aspects of the job; individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality (accuracy is of utmost importance); collaborates and networks effectively with others to achieve results.
- Quality Assurance — Performs quality checks on own work, adheres to service and quality standards and to all compliance requirements; passionate and committed to service excellence and embrace a culture of exceptional performance.
- Relationship Building — Build strong partnerships with staff from various suppliers; ensure that all issues are proactively and smoothly resolved, keeping Advisors informed.
- Knowledge and Skills — IT / Systems: computer knowledge (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word); knowledge of programs such as Momentum, Sanlam, Glacier by Sanlam; adequate typing speed.
- Competencies — Detail- and task orientation; effective multi-tasking; proactive problem-solving ability, planning and organizing; sound communication skills (written, email and phone); building efficient relationships to accomplish objectives of the role; information monitoring, initiating action and ownership.
- IT / Systems: computer knowledge (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word); knowledge on different programs (e.g., Momentum, Sanlam, Glacier by Sanlam); adequate typing speed.
- Competencies:
detail- and task orientation, effective multi-tasking, proactive problem-solving, planning and organizing, sound communication (written, email and phone), building efficient relationships, information monitoring, initiating action and ownership.
- Grade 12; other diploma or degree will be advantageous.
- Afrikaans and English are very important; a lot of clients are Afrikaans-speaking.
- Previous exposure to dealing with and assisting clients in terms of financial planning is important.
- Own transport and a valid driver’s license.
- Fully bilingual Afrikaans and English (read, write & speak).
