RolePurpose
Build, strengthen and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and act as key contact to stakeholders regarding queries, products and services.
Requirements- Matric or Grade 12 - Essential
- Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as business, finance, marketing, or a related discipline - Essential
- Master degree in Business Administration or equivalent qualification - Desirable
- 5 - 8 years of experience in a client engagement, sales, or client service environment.
- Exposure to the health insurance/medical scheme industry.
- Thorough understanding of scheme policies, procedures, and processes, including membership administration, underwriting, claims processing, and other relevant operational aspects.
- Familiarity with industry-specific rules, compliance requirements, and best practices related to client service, claims management, risk management, and financial operations.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements specific to the health insurance industry, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, guidelines, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in risk management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of compliance and ethical standards, including privacy regulations, data protection, and confidentiality principles.
- Awareness of industry trends and market dynamics.
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with clients, brokers, and partners to optimize mutual value and strengthen collaboration.
- Identify challenges and unmet needs among stakeholders, translating insights into actionable strategies for proactive business solutions.
- Engage stakeholders through effective communication of product offerings, promptly addressing inquiries, and fostering trust in the business.
- Evaluate client satisfaction with existing products and services, using structured feedback to recommend improvements and enhancements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, understanding stakeholder challenges and providing strategic recommendations for business growth and success.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of proposed strategies, considering benefits, risks, and costs to guide informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams, sharing stakeholder insights to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities aligned with their needs.
- Deliver exceptional service experiences to uphold and enhance the business's reputation, fostering lasting stakeholder relationships.
- Resolve escalated complaints professionally and promptly, minimising conflicts and preserving stakeholder satisfaction.
- Proactively identify process or system breakdowns impacting stakeholder experiences, offering enhancement recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Continuously monitor turnaround times and quality standards and resolve issues speedily to enhance client service delivery.
- Drive the achievement of client service delivery goals in line with predefined standards to ensure that clients receive appropriate advice and after-sales service.
- Manage client query processes and ensure that queries are tracked, accurately resolved, and used as a mechanism to improve client service and business processes.
- Provide regular reports on the delivery of services against agreed service level agreements and overall client targets.
- Provide authoritative expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the process of negotiating objective and realistic service level agreements, monitor appropriateness, and recommend adjustments.
- Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders to ensure that client expectations are managed.
- Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within the area of responsibility.
- Participate and contribute to a culture that builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback, and provides exceptional client service.
- Build strong relationships through providing specialist know-how and leadership to others, expressing positive expectations.
- Positively influence and manage change and offer specialist support where required.
