The successful candidate will partner closely with the executive team to establish a robust financial infrastructure, implement best-in-class accounting systems and internal controls, and provide strategic financial leadership as the organization continues to expand. • CA(SA) qualification is essential.
• 5-10 years' post-qualification experience.
• Significant experience within the oil and gas sector is non-negotiable.
• Proven experience in start-up, scale-up, or high-growth organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and lead a finance function from inception.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate governance, taxation, treasury, and financial reporting.
• Experience implementing ERP/accounting systems, financial controls, and reporting frameworks.

• Establish and lead the finance function, including building a high-performing finance team.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, financial controls, and governance frameworks.
• Select and implement accounting and ERP systems to support business growth.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
• Oversee statutory reporting, annual financial statements, tax compliance, and external audits.
• Develop financial models to support commercial decision-making and business expansion.
• Manage treasury, banking relationships, and working capital.
• Provide strategic financial insight to the executive team and Board.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
• Drive process improvements and establish scalable financial operations to support long-term growth.
