Banqueting Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking to hire a dynamic and experienced Banqueting Manager to lead their events team in Centurion . This role involves the planning, organization, and execution of all banqueting functions, from small corporate events to large weddings and celebrations. You will be responsible for ensuring that every event is a resounding success, meeting and exceeding client expectations through meticulous attention to detail, exceptional service, and seamless coordination.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of event management principles within the hospitality context.

• Plan, coordinate, and execute all banqueting events, ensuring all client requirements are met.
• Manage the banqueting team, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure high service standards.
• Develop event proposals, menus, and costing, presenting them professionally to clients.
• Liaise with clients throughout the event planning process, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication.
• Oversee event setup, service delivery, and breakdown, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Manage event budgets, controlling costs and maximizing revenue opportunities.

• Proven experience in banqueting or event management within the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of event planning, logistics, and catering services.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications.
