Banquets and Events Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and creative Banquets and Events Coordinator to manage and execute a wide range of events at their premier venue in Centurion . You will be responsible for the planning, organization, and execution of events, from initial client consultation through to post-event follow-up, ensuring every detail is flawlessly managed. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, catering staff, and vendors to create memorable experiences.

You will play a key role in driving revenue for the events department while upholding the highest standards of service and professionalism.

• Consult with clients to understand their event needs, budget, and vision, developing tailored event proposals.
• Plan and coordinate all aspects of banquets and events, including room setup, catering, A/V requirements, and entertainment.
• Develop detailed event timelines and ensure all parties adhere to them, managing on-site execution.
• Liaise with the catering team to design menus and ensure seamless food and beverage service.
• Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability targets are met.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and gather client feedback to identify areas for improvement.

• Proven experience in event planning, coordination, or management, preferably in a hotel or venue setting.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
• Familiarity with event software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, including evenings and weekends as needed.
