About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and organized Catering Assistant Supervisor to support the management team in Centurion. This role is crucial for the smooth day-to-day operation of catering services, involving direct supervision of catering staff during events and general operations. You will assist in ensuring that all service standards are met, client expectations are exceeded, and operational efficiency is maintained, playing a key role in the successful delivery of catering for various functions and events.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of catering staff during events, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to standards.
• Assist in training new staff members on service protocols, hygiene standards, and client interaction.
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring all catering equipment and requirements are met.
• Monitor food and beverage service, ensuring quality, presentation, and timely delivery.
• Handle minor client issues and feedback during events, escalating as necessary to the Catering Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, storage, and equipment.

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within the catering or hospitality industry is essential.
