Banqueting Manager - Luxury Events

Our client, a leading luxury event caterer, is seeking an experienced and charismatic Banqueting Manager to oversee and orchestrate seamless events at premier venues in Centurion, Gauteng . • Manage and supervise all aspects of banqueting operations, from client liaison and event setup to service execution and post-event breakdown.
• Lead and motivate the banqueting team, including waiters, bar staff, and supervisors, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
• Liaise closely with clients to understand their event requirements, providing expert advice and ensuring all details are meticulously planned and executed.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and other departments to ensure smooth communication and seamless event flow.
• Oversee the setup of event spaces according to floor plans, catering needs, and client specifications.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the event.
• Manage inventory of banqueting equipment, linens, and service items, ensuring they are well-maintained and sufficient for events.
• Handle client feedback and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event debriefings with the team.
• Control costs related to banqueting operations, including labor and supplies.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in banqueting management, event management, or a senior supervisory role within the hospitality or catering industry.
• Demonstrated experience in managing high-end events and VIP clientele.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage service standards and event logistics.
• Exceptional customer service and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and make quick decisions.
• Proficiency in event planning software and basic administrative tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a polished and professional demeanor.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by event schedules in Centurion.
• A valid driver's license and own reliable transport may be required for site visits.
