Role Overview
Our Client is seeking a dynamic individual to facilitate the Human Resources function for the group of companies by ensuring all policies, directives, and activities support the strategic objectives of The Client. Acting as a vital link between the Legal Department and the workforce, the Representative will ensure that all employment practices are legally sound, promote employee empowerment, and adhere to South African labour standards.
ApplicantRequirements
- Degree in HR Management, Labour Law, or related field.
- 3–5 years’ HR Officer/Generalist experience.
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation.
- Experience in payroll management.
- Proactive, solutions-driven, and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel nationwide.
- Align HR initiatives with company strategy.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Oversee implementation and administration of HR policies.
- Advise management on best employee practices.
- Contribute to HR strategy development with senior management.
- Ensure labour stability through fair practices.
- Develop and maintain disciplinary policies and procedures.
- Represent the company at CCMA in dispute matters.
- Chair disciplinary hearings.
- Oversee daily disciplinary processes.
- Provide counselling to employees.
- Maintain accurate staff records and contracts.
- Compile and submit annual Employment Equity reports.
- Arrange annual B-BBEE verification and prepare HR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with POPIA in employee record management.
- Prepare and submit statutory submissions.
- Manage recruitment, interviews, and appointments.
- Ensure employment contracts comply with labour law.
- Negotiate placement agreements with recruitment agencies.
- Develop and maintain HR development programs.
- Oversee induction and orientation of new employees.
- Audit payroll monthly for accuracy.
- Manage and authorise lawful salary deductions.
- Verify and approve monthly statutory returns and provident fund payments.
- Ensure timely implementation of wages and benefits.
- Prepare and submit quarterly statistical reports.
