What are we looking for?

• Matric / Grade 12 Certification.
• Assistant Cook experience.
• Energetic, positive approach to their work.
• A clear criminal record.

The responsibilities are:

Preparation of food and Sales:

• Assist in the preparation of food and related products prepared for Learners.
• Cutting, Cleaning and pre-preparation of food.
• Assist in the preparation of cooked / warm foods if required.
• Assist the Cook by giving input on food quality.
• Assist in any reasonable way possible when required for special events.
• Assist Cook / Chef in the preparation of foods if and when required.
• Stand in for Cook if Cook off ill or not available.

Cleaning, Health and Safety and Related matters:

• Always ensure work spaces are kept clean.
• Where appropriate attire related to dealing with food or food products.
• Actively assist in the cleaning of equipment, the kitchen, and any related facilities.
• Support the Cook with any ad-hoc Health and Safety and Hygienic requirements and always adhere to such requirements.
• Personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the school.

The successful candidate will start on 01 September to 15 December 2025.
