Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • A recognized technical qualification, preferably in the field of Mechatronics
  • 1-3 years’ experience in Technical Sales is advantageous
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to understand and communicate complex technical information
Key Responsibilities
  • Field Application and Customer Support
  • Deliver comprehensive field application support to existing and potential customers
  • Conduct regular customer visits to maintain relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Hiconnex, representing the company’s full product and service portfolio
  • Provide interconnect solutions and technical recommendations tailored to customer requirements
  • Support the growth and maintenance of the customer database
  • Contribute to improving turnover, market share, business visibility, customer service, and response times
  • Product and Technical Ownership
  • Attain full familiarity and technical understanding of Hiconnex products
  • Take ownership of product performance, updates, and market application
  • Collaborate closely with Internal Sales, Administration, Stores, Accounts, and Management teams to ensure seamless customer support
  • Provide internal technical assistance and training where required
  • Customer, Supplier, and Market Engagement
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders
  • Assist in marketing activities, events, and promotional initiatives as needed
  • Actively provide market intelligence and feedback to management to support continuous improvement and innovation
  • Foster key partnerships with current and potential suppliers to enhance collaboration and expand opportunities
  • Business Development and Expansion
  • Identify and pursue targeted business development opportunities to achieve defined results
  • Contribute to Hiconnex strategic expansion into new markets and regions for greater efficiency and growth potential

  • Maintain a solid understanding of stores and logistics operations, including:
  • Receiving, warehousing, and distribution activities
  • Booking, picking, and reporting of stock discrepancies
  • Building and assembly of product kits
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of operational programs, policies, and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties or tasks as assigned by management or supervisory personnel
