Within the framework of the Virbac Commercial Department, the position is responsible for the achievement of gross sales budget through the dynamic management of a nominated sales area in line with the Virbac culture, whilst fostering a professional and positive relationship with distribution partners, key accounts, and industry key influences. Responsible for the management of expense (travel, sponsorship and A&P) budgets in the designated area.
** Sales Performance
** Main activities:
• Achieve the gross sales budget for the year.
• Optimise sales and profits through implementation of approved marketing plans and campaigns for your area
• Manage Sales promotion budget as set in the expense budget
Stock management as a measure by discounts or replacement of short dated and expired stock.
• Maintain and grow market share in all areas with emphasis on high potential areas
• Present recommendations that may improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business unit.
• Demonstrates ownership of results within areas of responsibility and holds self and others accountable for decisions and results achieved.
• Attend and represent Virbac at industry occasions, functions and congresses when needed.
• Assist in sales and marketing product performance trials.
** Business Planning
** Main activities:

Development and implementation of sales strategies and marketing plans for the area. Strategic area planning delivering quality and quantity of customer calls. Plan work according to district potential in the area, time management in line with sales potential. Segmentation of Customers A,B,C as per Business Unit Guidelines A – Virbac loyal customer with as well as high turnover potential customer B – Customer with medium turnover not loyal to Virbac C – Customer with low potential and low turnover with Virbac Identify growth opportunities and strategies to implement the achievement of the total company budget.

Contribute to the company’s database by management of local client details and Data  base
** Reporting
* * Main activities:
• Weekly reporting on the company CRM system for the sales and marketing team which includes;
• CRM Reporto A,B,C Farmers 100% Contact coverage A farmers per Quarter Log Farmer contacts including B and C customer so Vets 100% coverage per Montho Agri business 100 % coverage per Quartero Product Detailing and Sold
• Business Highlights
• Competitor Activity.
• Opportunities.
• Suggestions/Issues/Comments.
• Provide information about customers’ needs, opposition activities and recommend new product opportunities for the company in CRM report and Service desk
• Participate and contribute positively to Sales team meetings and conferences.
• Proactively present recommendations to address issues and to improve effectiveness and efficiency
** Customer and Account management
** Main activities:
• Build strong and effective business relationships with key distribution partners within the area.
• Visit and increase the Virbac profile with customers within the area on a predetermined basis with particular reference to A, B class customers. Manage, in person or by electronic media the remaining customers within your area at a minimum of twice per year.
• Visit and increase the Virbac profile with A class customer on a designated basis as per area. Communicate regularly with key customers to keep them informed on progress or any new developments. Develop strategic promotional plans utilising A&P funds which will maximise the returns on the investment.
• Conduct regular meetings including timely promotional campaigns and quarterly business reviews with all key accounts.
• To promote and provide the customers and end users within your area access to technical and product training that covers both animal health issues and specific product concerns.
• Handle and report product or customer complaints and adverse reactions in a timely and professional manner using all available resources to achieve a positive outcome. Initial Complaint handled in 48hrs
• To maximise the Virbac programmes such as Loyalty/Partnership and campaigns, to grow sales and market share within the area
