Senior Mineral Resource Geologist

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Mineral Resource Geologist to join our dynamic consultancy team. You’ll deliver high-quality mineral resource modelling, estimation, and technical reporting for clients worldwide. Experience in mineral resource estimation using software skills is a must and will be one of the key requirements for shortlisting.

• Ideally 10 years, +8 years’ experience will be considered
• Registered professional
• Post-graduate degree in geology and/or geostatistics, M.Sc. or PhD is an advantage
• Experience working as a mine geologist, open pit and/or underground
• Experience with JORC (2012), SAMREC (2016), CIM, PERC Standard, SK-1300, etc.
• Data manipulation and database skills
• Geological modelling and wire framing
• Geostatistical/Mineral Resource modelling at specialist level
• Understanding of quality assurance and quality control data
• Understanding of geochemical analytical methods
• Understanding of grade control
• Expert abilities in technical/scientific writing and presentations
• Understanding of Mining Engineering processes
• Understanding of Mineral Processing basics

• Geological modelling and wire framing
• Geostatistical/Mineral Resource modelling at specialist level and according to industry best practices
• Technical report writing according to JORC, SAMREC, CIM, SK-1300, etc.
• Compilation of Standard Operating Procedures/protocols
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews
• Conduct Mineral Resource technical reviews/audits
