Field Installation Engineer

About the Role

Our client seeks a dedicated Field Installation Engineer to undertake on-site installation and commissioning of advanced systems within the Centurion, Gauteng area and surrounding regions. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful deployment of our client's technology solutions, working directly at client premises to deliver flawless installations and initial setups. You will be instrumental in translating project designs into operational realities, ensuring all technical specifications are met and clients are satisfied from the outset.

This position requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering outcomes in a client-facing capacity.

• Execute on-site installations of complex equipment and systems according to engineering blueprints and project plans.
• Perform system configuration, calibration, and initial testing to ensure operational readiness.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to schedule and coordinate installation activities.
• Conduct thorough site assessments to identify any potential installation challenges or requirements.
• Provide basic user training and handover documentation upon successful installation completion.
• Maintain detailed installation records and report progress and any encountered issues to the project team.

• Proven experience as an Installation Engineer or in a similar field-based technical role.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles relevant to the installation of specific equipment types.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation guides accurately.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized installation equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Physical ability to lift, maneuver, and install equipment, often in varied environments.
