About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and dependable Solar PV Installation Technician to join their installation team based in Centurion . You will be responsible for the hands-on installation of photovoltaic systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety procedures, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. You will work closely with project managers and other technicians to ensure efficient and safe installations, contributing directly to the company's mission of promoting clean energy solutions across the region.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically fit, and enjoys working in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
- Install solar photovoltaic panels, inverters, and associated electrical equipment according to design specifications.
- Perform electrical wiring and connections, ensuring compliance with all safety codes and standards.
- Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on installation sites.
- Communicate project status and any encountered challenges to the site supervisor.
- Relevant technical qualification or certification in electrical installation or solar PV.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in installing solar PV systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and installation manuals.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy equipment.
