Workshop Foreman

Workshop Foreman position available in Centurion.

One of our large Automotive Service Centre Clients based in Centurion, are urgently in need of a Qualified Workshop Foreman with industry experience to start immediately, or as soon as possible.

Salary: R30 000 (Plus incentives and other benefits) depending on experience.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Matric or an equivalent qualification.
• Qualified Petrol or Diesel Technician with a recognised Trade Test or Red Seal.
• At least 5 years' hands-on automotive repair and diagnostic experience.
• Previous workshop supervisory or management experience.
• Strong experience in vehicle diagnostics and advanced fault-finding.
• Sound knowledge of petrol or diesel engines, electrical systems and vehicle electronics.
• Experience using modern diagnostic scanners and workshop equipment.
• Computer literacy and experience working with workshop management systems.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Valid License and Own Transport

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the automotive workshop.
• Supervise, support and allocate work to technicians and workshop staff.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle faults.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults accurately.
• Review job cards and ensure repairs are completed correctly and on time.
• Monitor workshop productivity, turnaround times and workmanship.
• Conduct final inspections and quality-control checks.
• Provide technical guidance and training to workshop staff.
• Prepare repair estimates and assist with quotations.
• Liaise with customers regarding diagnostics, repairs, costs and progress.
• Manage parts requirements and coordinate with suppliers.
• Ensure tools and workshop equipment are properly maintained.
• Handle customer queries, complaints and warranty-related repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts and completed work.
• Enforce health, safety and housekeeping standards.
• Control costs and help achieve workshop performance targets
