About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Electrician Specialist to join their technical team in Centurion . This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex automotive electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, ECUs, lighting, and accessory integration. You will work on a variety of modern vehicles, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and your deep understanding of automotive electronics. This is an exciting opportunity for an electrician who excels in problem-solving and is passionate about staying at the forefront of automotive technology, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and fully functional.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair faults in automotive electrical systems, including ignition, charging, starting, lighting, and accessory circuits.
- Utilize specialized diagnostic equipment and oscilloscopes to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Install and repair aftermarket electronic accessories, such as infotainment systems, navigation, and security systems.
- Perform electrical system maintenance, including battery testing, wiring inspections, and fuse replacements.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical service bulletins accurately.
- Ensure all electrical repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or a similar specialized role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical principles, components, and diagnostic procedures.
- Proficiency with diagnostic scanners, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret complex wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Experience with CAN bus systems and vehicle network diagnostics is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications in automotive electrical systems are a plus.
