About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join their manufacturing plant in Centurion . This role is critical for ensuring the smooth and continuous operation of all production machinery and facility equipment. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of industrial equipment and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment for the entire production facility.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures on production machinery.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to restore operations quickly.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during maintenance operations.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems .
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
- Relevant trade qualification or certification is a plus.
