About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Appliance Repair Technician to serve the Centurion, Gauteng area. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of household appliances, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the reputation of our client for reliable service. You will work independently for a significant portion of your time, managing your schedule and service calls efficiently.
This position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities to communicate effectively with homeowners. The ideal candidate is adaptable and enjoys the challenge of resolving diverse technical issues in a dynamic home environment.
- Diagnose and repair common faults in domestic appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers.
- Perform installations and replacements of faulty appliance components.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify underlying issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Provide clear explanations of repair processes and costs to customers.
- Maintain an organized inventory of parts and tools, ordering replacements as needed.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard, adhering to safety regulations.
- Proven experience as an Appliance Repair Technician or similar field.
- Strong knowledge of the internal workings of various domestic appliances and their common failure points.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair techniques for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good customer service and communication abilities.
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle suitable for service calls in and around Centurion .
