Our client seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their operations in Centurion . This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliable and safe functioning of electrical systems and equipment within the facility. You will be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical components and systems, playing a key role in minimizing operational disruptions. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of electrical principles, and a proactive approach to maintaining high safety and performance standards in a dynamic industrial setting, contributing significantly to operational continuity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components according to codes and standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment, identifying root causes of malfunctions.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical equipment, including motors, control panels, and lighting systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide repair and installation work.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Respond to emergency electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational safety in Centurion .
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, principles, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand complex electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Possession of relevant electrical trade qualifications or certifications is highly advantageous.
- Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule and occasional on-call duty as required.
