Commercial Vehicle Technician

Our client is seeking a skilled and certified Commercial Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop in Centurion . This role is crucial for maintaining the operational readiness of their fleet, ensuring all vehicles are safe, compliant, and running at peak performance. You will diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and light commercial vehicles. This hands‑on position requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Inspect vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Identify faulty parts and malfunctions, and provide accurate cost estimates for repairs.
• Conduct routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.

• Qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician with relevant certifications (e.g., Diesel Mechanic qualification).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air brakes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
