Telecommunications Field Technician

Our client is seeking a dedicated Telecommunications Field Technician to join their operations team based in Centurion . This hands-on role is essential for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure at customer sites and within the network. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our client's services, working directly with customers to resolve technical issues.

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment, including fiber optic cables, routers, and modems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in telecommunications networks and customer premises equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond to service calls and provide timely technical support to customers.
• Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities performed.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in telecommunications or electronics is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Field Technician in the telecoms industry or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications principles and equipment.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for site visits.
• Good customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
