Accountant, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections, Accounting Assistant

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Ceres, California. This role involves supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial records. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented professionals with a solid background in accounting practices and a commitment to maintaining efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks to maintain accurate financial records.

- Prepare and review journal entries to ensure proper documentation and compliance.

- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.

- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts and other financial transactions.

- Assist with general ledger maintenance and updates.

- Monitor workflow within the accounting department and provide support as needed.

- Collaborate with team members to address accounting inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

- Prepare detailed reports and summaries to support decision-making processes.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with attention to detail.

- Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

- Knowledge of general ledger processes and journal entries.

- Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting.

- Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
