Veterinary Receptionist; Care Coordinator - American Pet Clinic

Pet Vet Care Centers' American Pet Clinic is currently seeking a Care Coordinator to join our team.

American Pet Clinic, established in 2012 and located in Ceres, California, is a full-service veterinary hospital offering comprehensive care from wellness to geriatric services.

Supports administrative and customer service tasks to help the hospital run efficiently. The role aligns closely with Veterinary Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Client Care Specialist.

• Provide excellent customer service in‑person, over the phone, and during high‑stress situations.
• Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments.
• Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well‑being.
• Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services and products.
• Input and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assist with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconcile cash drawer and perform end‑of‑day duties for accurate financial transactions.

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
• Knowledge of clerical procedures and ability to organize files and records.
• Excellent customer service skills, providing courteous and prompt assistance.
• Accurate cash handling and cashiering abilities.
• Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds.
