Exact Staff is hiring a Human Resources Generalist (HRIS, Benefits & Compensation) for a privately held beverage and consumer packaged goods organization with operations spanning manufacturing, agriculture, distribution, and sales across domestic and international markets. In this role, you'll play a critical part in supporting the organization's people strategy through effective management of HR systems, employee benefits programs, and compensation administration — partnering closely with HR leadership, payroll, finance, and external vendors to deliver accurate reporting, competitive compensation practices, and compliant, cost-effective benefits programs.
This is a steady, full-time opportunity with weekly pay and strong potential for long-term placement.

What You'll Be Doing:- Manage the company's ADP HR system, keeping employee information accurate, complete, and confidential
- Handle employee updates such as new hires, promotions, pay changes, and terminations
- Create HR reports on headcount, turnover, compensation, and benefits; build dashboards for HR and leadership
- Support ADP system updates, integrations, and troubleshooting
- Manage employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
- Work with benefits brokers, insurance companies, and other vendors
- Manage annual open enrollment and help employees understand their benefits
- Ensure benefits programs comply with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA
- Review benefit bills and verify payroll deductions
- Help manage employee leaves of absence and answer employee benefits questions
- Support salaries, bonuses, incentives, and other compensation programs
- Research market pay and benchmark company salaries against industry standards
- Maintain pay ranges and job classifications; process raises, promotions, and other pay changes
- Support pay equity reviews and compensation reporting
- Ensure compensation practices comply with California and federal requirements
- Support compliance with California wage and hour laws and maintain related HR policies
- Support HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance audits, and assist with required government reports and filings
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred
- 3–5+ years of HR experience, especially in HRIS, benefits, and compensation
- California HR experience preferred
- Experience using ADP HRIS
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
- Experience creating HR reports and analyzing data
- Understanding of employee benefits and related laws
- Knowledge of compensation and salary benchmarking
- Familiarity with California and federal employment laws, including FMLA, CFRA, and ADA/FEHA leave requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- Able to handle confidential information
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Able to manage multiple projects and work both independently and strategically
