OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Operate a vehicle to deliver items and do related clerical and physical work. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Fill and transport school/food supplies, equipment and/or mail.
2. Prepare and/or maintain necessary records.
3. Review and evaluate the proper storage and rotation of food and/or supplies.
4. Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
5. Inspect and report to supervisor the operating condition of assigned vehicle(s), warehouse and delivery operation.
6. Operate district delivery vehicles and fork lift according to state law and/or safety requirements.
7. Receive, transport, and deposit cafeteria monies.
8. Assist in the general operation of the warehouse.
9.Arrange for the pickup and execution of permit 20 mail. 10. Perform other related duties assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of:
Equipment and vehicle safety practices and procedures. Standard inventory and record keeping practices. Ability to:
Drive vehicles safely and efficiently; perform basic arithmetic calculations; lift or move 50 pounds individually or with assistance using correct body mechanics; communicate and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work; deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities; understand, implement, and give oral and written directions in English.

Experience:

One (1) year warehouse or delivery work, or successful work experience, preferably in a school district.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. License:
Valid California Driver's License. Safe driving record. Forklift Operators Certificate. (Must possess or be actively pursuing) Supervision:
Under general supervision, reports to the Director of Food Service. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.

The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
