OverviewAccurately process all import entry documentation and transmit data electronically via ACE system within time frames required by all federal agencies and in accordance with company policy.
Primary Responsibilities- Process import entry documentation utilizing the ACE system
- Submit ISF Import Security Filing to U.S. Customs in a timely fashion
- Coordinate processing of documents with U.S. Customs relating to all imported merchandise
- Follow up with all import shipments as required by federal agencies
- Comply with established company and department policies and procedures
- Maintain duty calculation spreadsheets and entry documentation checklists, as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Associate's Degree or 2 years college education
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or International Relations fields preferred
- 7 years professional experience filing import entry documents
- ACE (Editrade/Descartes software knowledge preferred)
- 5+ years professional experience working with various ocean and air carriers and freight forwarders / consolidators
- Knowledge and experience with FDA Prior Notice required
- Knowledge and experience filing ISF required
- Strong understanding of supply chain requirements, processes, and tracking of import shipments
- Strong attention to detail and high level of data accuracy
- Strong communication skills – written, verbal, persuasion, motivation, facilitation of strong working relationships
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, and communication skills
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20 lbs
