Lathe Machinist

Located in Cerritos, CA
, the operation is taking the creation of products to the next level through engineering innovation. For nearly 30 years, their state‑of‑the‑art technology serves premier technology companies around the globe. An elite team of about 100 employees work on a variety of machines including mills, lathes, mill‑turn, and grinders to manufacture precision equipment for their customers. With new machines recently installed, and more on the way, they are dedicated to keeping up with the latest, state‑of‑the‑art technology.

This is an opportunity to leverage your current lathe experience to influence business operations. In this role, you will be responsible for performing setup and operation as well as serving as a collaborative partner in the shop.

This is a 1st shift position 6 AM - 2:30 PM on Monday‑Friday. The goal is to maintain a strong work‑life balance.

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or grinders
• Program lathe machines at the machine and on Esprit as needed
• Edit programs at the machine
• Perform first‑article and in‑process inspections

• Experience setting up and operating lathes
• Experience programming CNC lathe (Esprit preferred)
• Knowledge of Mori Seiki and/or DMG lathes is a great plus
• Ability to edit programs at the machine
• Understanding of blueprints, drawings, and models
• Knowledge of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
• Please note that this is an ITAR regulated facility.
