Overviewof Responsibilities
As the Assistant Vitamin/HBA Manager – you have a role in helping customers make healthy choices by providing excellent customer service through managing and leading one of the busiest teams in our store.
- Assist the Assistant Vitamin/HBA Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
- Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Vitamin/HBA team
- Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
- Assist in leading a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience for customers
- Ensure that customers receive the best possible service and assistance with vitamins, supplements, and health and beauty products to help them better understand and respond to health and wellness issues
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and other health and body items in the department, providing guidance on supplements, health and beauty, and related products without “prescribing”
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, developing, mentoring, and motivating the Vitamin team
- Unload and sort through store deliveries
- Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Vitamin team members are aware of and following these procedures

To be an Assistant Vitamin Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of 1 year of vitamin, homeopathy, or holistic experience with leadership duties; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes, including night, weekends, and holidays
- Have an outgoing and friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact with customers
- Have good communication skills and the ability to give and receive direction while maintaining a team environment
- Perform general housekeeping in the department
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Be willing to gain education on new products and alternative health
- Have strong organization and prioritization skills
- Be able to perform the following: standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the shift; the ability to lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4" to 72", for a distance up to 2 feet without mechanical assistance
- Move a ladder to access product requiring a force up to 5 lbs., up to 2 hours, for a distance up to 25 feet
- Able to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs. requiring a force up to 35 lbs., up to 2 hours, a distance up to 20 feet
- Be able to walk a total of up to 3 miles in an 8 hour shift
- Be able to perform other related duties as assigned
The pay range for this position is $18.55 - $27.75 / hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
