Business Development Inside Sales Representative
Location: Cerritos HQ Office
Compensation: Base Salary + Commission + Bonuses
About the RoleThe Business Development Inside Sales Representative drives revenue growth by uncovering new opportunities, qualifying leads, and strengthening relationships with vendors and internal customers. This role combines proactive outbound prospecting with responsive inside sales support. As both a hunter focused on outreach and a sales partner managing existing accounts, this position plays a critical role in the success of our sales organization.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Lead Generation- Conduct cold calls, outbound outreach, and follow-up campaigns to vendor leads, inbound inquiries, and dormant accounts.
- Qualify new prospects by identifying needs, budgets, timelines, and key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with sales management to identify strategic growth opportunities within assigned territories or verticals.
- Provide additional business development support as needed.
- Generate and deliver accurate customer quotes in a timely manner.
- Process customer purchase orders while ensuring correct pricing, terms, and delivery expectations.
- Manage quote logs, open orders, and backlog reports via internal systems or customer portals.
- Track and follow up on open quotes, opportunities, and pending orders.
- Provide supplemental sales support as required.
- Act as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day customer inquiries.
- Assess customer needs and recommend tailored solutions to maximize satisfaction.
- Build strong, trust‑based relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, vendors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and on‑time order fulfillment.
- 2+ years of experience in business development, inside sales, customer service, or a related field.
- Proven success with cold calling, outbound prospecting, or lead qualification preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM or ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment.
- High level of accuracy, accountability, and customer service orientation.
