The Director, Asset Protection is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies to minimize loss, prevent theft and fraud. The role focuses on warehouse and retail store security to reduce inventory losses, supports the risk management and insurance processes, and partners with operations, legal, HR and IT to create a secure environment for customers, employees and merchandise.

• Work with leadership to develop a robust asset‑protection strategy aligned with company targets and define key metrics for success.
• Review security measures and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop robust processes and procedures at corporate locations, warehouses, and retail stores to maintain a secure environment and minimize merchandise shrinkage.
• Create and maintain training materials for asset protection at retail and distribution centers.
• Train members of the organization on asset protection and develop security awareness.
• Work cross‑functionally, especially with leadership, to ensure adherence to security measures.
• Review data and quickly respond to emerging trends or threats.
• Develop and conduct ongoing audits.
• Conduct internal investigations related to theft and fraud and coordinate with external enforcement agencies as necessary.
• Partner with HR to address personnel concerns related to safety, fraud, and theft.
• Collaborate with legal, HR and law enforcement to address cases and recover assets.
• Support the corporate risk‑management process, particularly the insurance renewal process, maintain a sufficient insurance portfolio, and manage claims.
• Partner with internal legal and external insurance brokers to manage the loss‑claims process.
• Travel as needed to support retail operations.
• Be detail‑focused, assess data and trends, and implement changes rapidly.
• Articulate thoughts and findings orally and in writing.
• Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team environment.
• Be proactive in identifying and addressing challenges.
• Communicate effectively and handle conflict.

• BA/BS degree.
• 10+ years of asset‑protection leadership experience in retail and warehouse environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to analyze data and identify trends.
• Familiarity with laws and industry standards related to loss prevention.
• Experience conducting investigations and partnering with law enforcement.
• Ability to develop scalable solutions and processes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
• SQL experience.
