Golden Star Technology Inc. (GST) is seeking an experienced, full-time Cabling Technician to join our team in Cerritos, CA. This role is ideal for a motivated, hands‑on professional looking to grow their career with an industry‑leading technology company that values its employees.
Position SummaryThe Cabling Technician performs structured cabling installation, service, and maintenance for low‑voltage infrastructure, including copper and fiber optic systems. This role involves hands‑on work installing, terminating, and testing cabling systems in commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities- Install and support low‑voltage cabling systems, including structured cabling, access control, and fire alarm systems
- Read and interpret project drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Pull, route, and secure low‑voltage and fiber optic cabling
- Install cable support systems (e.g., cable trays, pathways) and mounting hardware
- Terminate and test Cat6 jacks, patch panels, and fiber optic connections
- Install, dress, and organize cabling within racks and cabinets
- Assist with creating and maintaining cable pathways
- Perform equipment moves, adds, and changes as required
- Maintain clean and organized job sites and follow all safety protocols
- Support additional service and installation tasks as assigned
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in low‑voltage or structured cabling installation
- Experience working with Cat3, Cat5/5e, Cat6, and fiber optic systems
- Proven ability to install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling (single‑mode and multimode)
- Familiarity with industry‑standard installation practices and tools
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics
- Ability to lift and carry 40+ pounds of equipment and materials
- Comfortable with physical, hands‑on work including standing, bending, climbing, and working at heights
- Reliable transportation to travel to job sites as needed
- Valid driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record
- Must provide standard hand tools typically used in the trade
