Responsibilities
  • Identify, stow, and sort cargo loaded or discharged from vessels into the terminal.
  • Work closely with the Clerk-In-Charge to categorize and organize various cargoes in designated areas.
  • Accurately document cargo details, including completing load lists, using scanners, and preparing tally sheets for production reports.
  • Monitor and oversee the loading and unloading of trucks, barges, and railcars.
  • Verify cargo counts, weights, measurements, marks, and dimensions.
  • Ensure proper placement of cargo in staging areas to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Support and adhere to company safety initiatives, operational directives, and policies.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in a maritime, industrial, or warehousing environment.
  • Proficiency in English and basic math skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts.
  • Physical ability to safely perform all essential job duties.
  • Possession of a TWIC Card.
